need cylinders

Does anyone have a set of pistons and cylinders for an 05 xb9r......maybe a good used 1050 kits.....thanx in advance...and great site by the way.....have a slight noise in front cylinder sounds like maybe a piston.. it had a race only ecm...i put the stock one back in to see if it was maybe spark knock...didnt help any.....any and all advice would be appreciated

I have a set of 12 cylinders and pistons with 3400 miles. Look like new. Find ya a crank w/rods and you'll never look back!

Would these be a direct replacement for stock ones? Or would they require case boring?

The bore is the same, on buells the crankshaft stroke was the only difference between xb9 and xb12's. The pistons are different and will alter the compression ratios when used in the opposite engine. I dont remember which does which though.

xb9 and xb12 cylinders are the same, but the pistons are different.

edit:cosworth beat me to it. To elaborate on what he said if you use xb9 pistons with a xb12 crank you will increase the compression ratio to around 12:1 I think.

Pretty high compression for an aircooled motor....especially without durect injection..
