My bike was knocked over to its right yesterday causing the handler bar to be bent and the right foot peg to be broken. Nobody saw who did it. Now I need to order a new handle bar and I would like someone to help me with the part number and the cheapest place to get the handlebar, please. I have the part number for the foot peg.

I have a 2003 Buell XB9S.

I would like to know is it difficult to install the handle bar oneself or should I take it to a mechanic? Would I need any special tools? Thank you.

I had forgotten about twin motorcycles' page.

I've found the part number. It's N0002.1AD, for the handlebar.

raymend: believe me when i say that i am not being critical of you here....but historically your posts reflect a mechanical novice when it comes to cycles and buells in particular. lightning and ulysses handlebars are the mounting point for the grips, throttle twist grip assembly, left and right switch gear, left and right perches, left and right levers, left and right mirrors, and 3 cables. pinch any one of the wiring looms or incorrectly mount any 1 of the cables and you'll have significant, costly problems. if i were you i would buy a stock set or aftermarket set with VERY CLOSE height/width/pullback....and seek out a pro to assist. IMO

lunaticfringe, you are right I am a mechanical novice and I wish I was better at this kind of thing. I had help putting the new handle bar. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

Everything went well.[up]
