Decided that i couldn't wait to get the frame/axel sliders so i made some myself for $20.
Skateboard wheels from a $13 kiddie board, 3' all thread 3/8" bar, 4 3/8" washers and 3/8" locking nuts.
Took about an hour with my lack of experience in actually making anything.

Is that temporary while you wait for the real ones to come in? Ingenuity is always good. Honestly they look ok from the back, where all you see is black.. but not great from the sides (since you asked) but hey at least you're trying new things, so I'd commend that

Cheers, up close and with a flash makes them look worse than they really are.
I'm going to use them, the rubber is rock hard and a little black spray paint should eliminate that rough look.
Thanks for the input.

The ones you buy are turned down about 3/8" on the backside so there the same diameter as the inside diameter of the axle. You know so 3/8" of the black skate wheel fits inside the axle so if you do slide on them they don't get cocked. Another thing the store bought ones keep the all thread down to about 1/4" diameter to help keep the unsprung weigh down. Just for your info., not jacking with you. They look good though, most people would think you bought them. Keep modding!

Anytime. besides the things you do yourself often feel better than just buying something.
Sliders are on my potential list of things to do, but usually get put off for one reason or another
