Need some help....?

So I bought a new frame for my bike, all is good BUT the guy left the gas cap in the frame. I emailed him an he said he doesn't have the key.

So do I just drill out the lock? Or is there some trick I am unaware of? I prefer not to spend any money going to a lock smith, but any ideas will help.

I've done it with a few gun locks. I took a high speed drill directly under the key openings and drilled out the tumblers.

get the vin and have a ordered,get a key that will fit in the key hole then shoot compressed air in the whole while turnning iv used this method on autos,call a lock smith.good luck

I think the tabs on the gas cap that hold it in are plastic. I bet you can get it out without too much hassle.

Hey, I have no problem paying with Sara's ass!

I still have to try all my keys, been at work all day. Also the tank is bone dry so no worries about getting a couple shavings inside since it can be blown out, plus it still has to go to powder coat.

I wanted to take apart my gas cap To powder coat it but messed it up so I am just getting a keyless one. That is after I get this cap off my frame though[smirk]
