oh I think that is the lock-washer to keep that nut from working its way off.. its the one were that bend on the end of the header connects to the front of the motor right?
 
Yeah that's it. Instructions say place spacer in between motor and s bend. I installed without the spacer and it seems like the bracket sits too close to the engine. I hope I'm making sense. I bought the jardine used and it came with a big 1/2 inch looking but. I'm guessing this is it?
 
I remember when I put one of those on and it was like there was too many parts there but Its been along time.. I just kinda made it up on my own but I did use that lock washer... its been working fine for years now
 
Ok cool thanks man. Did you have to drill the holes a little to make everything fit? I had to drill the bracket and the s bend hole out so it fit right.
