Hello All,

I'm a Flight student for the Army at Ft. Rucker, and in response to rising gas prices I finally made the leap to two wheeled transportation! I'm a proud new owner of a 2001 Blast P3 with a little under 3000 miles on it. This is my first bike and from what I've heard it's a great place to begin both from a riding and maintenance stand point. I'll be looking to acquire a tech manual here soon, any suggestions would be great. I'm ready to learn all about my new "thumper" and welcome any information you all have. I'll get up some pictures tomorrow to give a general idea of condition.

Welcome. You're going to love riding it. I got mine in 2008 also because of the rising gas prices and often ask myself why I didn't do it sooner. I often tell people it's a blast to ride. :D

Welcome! So far these bikes seem to be solid, reliable transportation. Personally I couldn't find a better looking and sounding motorcycle than the Blast for a bike this size. I considered a used Ducati Monster, but from what I've read these are more reliable and I saved a bunch of money going this way.

Welcome!! Got a few fellow Bueller's on the base with you there! jakestolar is in training right now but he will be free soon!! Welcome to the madness!!!!

Hey guys! I'm a brand new rider also.. I just got my 2003 blast yesterday. Ran into a few problems already but I think with a quick carb cleaning and a new boot (thanks to EZ and his endless knowledge)I should be up and running in no time..

Anything I should look out for? Or any ideas where I can acquire a manual?

Thanks and I'm excited!!

Check my yahoo site for manuals - lol - its linked in my sig. also for 2003 and older - aka to 2000 - sooner or later you'll have to change the rocker box gasket - those old style HD gaskets are made of paper.
