I JUST BOUGHT AN 05 BUELL FIREBOLT XB12R WITH 5600 MILES ON IT AND I AM IN LOVE. HAD A R6 AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO AMOUNT OF FUN. I NEED HELP WITH EXHAUST THOUGH. MONEY IS TIGHT RIGHT NOW SINCE THE PURCHASE SO I AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD BOLT ON EXHAUST. DO I HAVE TO REMAP AND RETUNE JUST FOR BOLT ON? IDEAS? BEST EXHAUST? THANX FOR THE HELP.

Exhaust-wise, I (and many others here) have gone with a Hawk Performance pipe

Randy is a top notch guy and can help you out with more than just exhaust when it comes to your Buell! You can remap using a race map or otherwise custom map. Let this forum be your friend and you'll learn alot here and make a lot of friends!

I bought a Hawk Muffler, K&N filter and an ECM Spy cable, then copied the race maps to my stock Eprom. I am very pleased with the results. Total outlay is about $300.

Yep, also got a Hawk pipe on mine, but I haven't gotten the maps sorted yet. I confirmed with Randy though that you can run the new exhaust without updating the map as long as you leave the original filter in. That can get you started, but the ECMspy cable only costs about $40, and you can load it yourself so it's worth it in the long run.

Thanx for the input guys. im still lookin around on the website and trying to learn everything. and sorry about the caps cdub. on a work computer so its not the best. and im gonna have to look into the hawk pipe. any good dealers recomended for it?

nevermind. lol i found the hawk website and i am placing my order now. i love the sound it produces. way better than stock. next will be the ecm cable and filter.
