New Buell owner

Picked up my bike today.... It was 34 degrees out here and I havent ridden a bike in 18 years (36) It was only about 10 miles home. Started feeling better about half way home. Note to self. Close vents on helmet before riding home in 30 degree temps..

Great looking bike man! Welcome to the family. Any of the ss or stt seats will work for ya. I might be interested in the solo seat if you want to get rid of it. I would love to know how the previous owner got that tank cover to fit so good. I gave up on mine.

I will probably order the corbin seat here by the end of the month. So yea I would be willing to sell the seat then. Might put the stock exhaust on as well.
riding this home was crazy. so much torque. Got to love it.

ok the vinyl was starting to come off the windscreen so i pulled it off

but not sure If I should paint it black... if so what paint. Just buy a black one or carbon fiber... ? any input guys and gals ?

Ok just been going through the bike getting it ready to go, Changed out he oil, Went with Lucas 20-50 motorcycle synthetic, Put in some NGK iridium plugs and have teh stock exhaust on for now. Now all i need is some good weather. Ordered a Johny Rocket Hemp jacket too.

Might want to swap the battery and brake fluids too, since it has been sitting a while. I just bought an '08 xb12s with 1400 miles and have some work to do on it before it's ready to go...

I noticed the clock resets when I try to start it. THe first time it doesnt turn over but always does the second time. Itsounds like that is the nature of the beast.

Can anyone suggest a good battery ? it charges fine but since it is getting old I ll probably just swap it out for safety sake.
