i got my buell a few months ago its an 04 but it had the stock pipe on it. i bought a d&d exhaust and can put it on my self but wondering if there are any other changes i have to do im not to sure.

i was also thinking about sending my d&d back and getting a jardine i found out i like the sound better after i bought the d&d so would i have to do anything extra with a jardine

BuellChick runs a Jardine and is very happy with it...

I have a D&D on BamBam and could not be happier with it...
guess its another one of those things where it depends on what the rider wants and likes...

As for having to change anything for the D&D, nada..
you can use the flat portion before the cans split as your jacking point as well [up]

well since i have the d&d already i might keep that i was thinking about getting a k&n air filter too i was reading on here that poeple change there ecm and remap for the too together. i'm not sure how to remap either is that something i can do on my own

go for the K&N [up]

you can get a EMCspy cable and hook your bike to a laptop and do a TPS reset, you will be able to do custom mapping for your mods so the bike runs at its best so there really is no reason to get a new ECM unless you need one.

I am rather new to EMCspy and mapping, waiting for my cable and will be having someone hold my hand and walk me thru it...LOL :D

there are several threads on the forum that cover the topic and lots of people with a helping hand when it comes to this subject.
:)

Stay away from Jardins. They are cheap for a reason.
[down]

If $320-420 is cheap then you must have money to burn.
I have a Jardine and I love it. Like Buddha said it depends on what the rider wants and likes. And how much money you want to spend on a pipe.

okay ive been reading up and i decided to keep my d&d exhaust and wanna get a k&n air filter... but i was unclear about how a different pipe takes away power. what i would need to do run my bike with those together and how much it would cost if i already had the parts and were gonna put them on myself. and how the hell do i get ecmspy and cable

Go to buelletinboard.com and talk to xopti or go to his website xoptiInside.com he has both the cables and the software to download it. Nice guy has lots o info about it if you have any questions.

Oh and D&Ds are a nice exhaust. Coulda saved some money and made your own but it's all good. I have a jardin one my bike along with the race ECM and a K&N. I absolutly love them together.

#1 To be fair the Jardines most likely wont blow out if you keep them well packed at all times.

#2 I find them to sound very tinny and loud. However they are not D&D loud

#3 I see that they are no longer inexpensive. they used to cost about 250 they seem to be more expensive now.

#4 these are my opinions. If you like the Jardines great good for you.!!! I don't.
