Hello All

I am trading for a 03 xb9 on thursday. been lurking around site a few weeks trying to learn a few things. Mine will have a few mods including paint change with frame and lips of wheels painted and more importantly it has EBR ECM uni air filter and what i am told is a gutted factory muffler (not sure but it sounds alright to me?) i will get pics up as soon as i get my hands on it. Hope to learn alot here. Thanks

So slight delay in delivery of my firebolt and honestly after looking all over the board im kind of wanting a xb12s for some reason im just liking the front end styling better? dunno either way soon as i have one hopefully this weekend ill add pics here

Welcome to the Buell world.

You can do conversions from R to S and the other way around...

how difficult and more important how costly to switch? other than the fairing im ok with the xb9r. id like to have the 12 but dont know that id notice much of a difference

if you are interested in trading i want to go to a firebolt front end on my lightning

welcome to buellxb mate and congrats on the new buy.

just a heads up, although you can swap the fronts... it is easier to go from an S to an R front rather than R to an S as you have to play around with all the fuses and electrics. the firebolt has it all up front and although i have heard some fit it under the screen, it usually requires a bit of effort. the lightning has all the electrics under hte seat.

i prefer hte 12 for the torque, but i know plenty who love hte 9 and its just as much fun.

post pics when you get your bike.

cheers

thanks for the heads up i will prob just leave as is. maybe ride thru winter and sell in spring to buy an s model
