New Bueller (Uly-er?)

New to Buell and new to the forum. Just picked up my first Buell (08 Uly-XT) and I'm pumped. This is the first bike in a long time that's really got me excited. I spent a couple months researching the Uly (mostly lurking this site!) and found one on CL that had been sitting in a South TX barn for a couple years. Only 5k miles and .5 inch of dust. It's currently getting the TLC/personalization treatment (fluids, bolts checked, battery, tires, K&N, Hawk Muffler(Randy is fukin awesome BTW), etc... Anyway, just wanted to say HI and this site rocks!

welcome aboard sire. you'll love not only detailing that uly and bringing it back to life but riding it as well. at that mileage it's barely broken in and begging to be ridden. i bought a 2007 uly last november, had to drive 12 hours round trip for it, did to it exactly what you're doing to yours and gotta say it is one of if not the most charasmatic, comfortable, torquey and fun to ride bikes i've ever owned. Ulys are just wonderful motorcycles for a multitude of reasons. happy for you son! here's mine.

welcome uly brothaaaaa!! i picked up my 07 uly a year and a half ago and drove 42 hour round trip to get it with 1700 miles on it! Youll love it good luck!

It's about time you picked up a Buell!

I'm on my second one and have been trying to convince him for years that of all the bikes I've owned, my Buell was my favorite (which is why I now have another)!
