New Cheaper Car

Hey guys...my car is having trouble again and it is making me re-think just getting a new car.

What are some solid cars that are fairly "cool" and I can get for around 6k used?

Any ideas?

get on craigslist and put in a max price of 6500 and go from there. it will give you an idea of whats available in your area for that price. I think a jeep cherokee would be a good way to go. Reliable and cheap to maintain. You can get some nice ones for 6k. Im talking the regular cherokee(XJ) not a grand cherokee

Picked up my crown vic police interceptor for 2k with 102,000 miles. For the money you are willing to spend you can get one a heck of alot nicer(and newer) than mine. They run like a raped ape and handle fairly well for a full sized sedan.

I have both a Celica GTS and a Integra GSR. The celica is definitely a cool car. It's faster than my GSR and it gets better gas mileage. I've seen 32mpg on freeway, and I'm a leadfoot.

I had a Probe GT, that car was awesome and I'd buy one again. It's a 2.5 liter V6 and it sounds like a supra. If you can find a clean one with low miles, buy it and keep saving for a buell.

You can pick up a lt1 camaro firbird rather easily for that price. If you look for a while you can find a ls1 camaro / firebird and clean house with anything within three times the price.

Zach, my buddy has a MKIII supra for sale in St. Cloud. He has a few of them, including a 2JZ swapped big single turbo MKIII. You could buy that, and have decent money left over. Only thing, its RWD...and that sucks in the winter.

well....I ended up fixing my own car. 500 bucks later, she is running. I will just run the wheels off of my existing car while I try to amplify my current budget. Then I will have money for a decent car and a buell by next riding season if all goes well!

i had an 04 wrx that i traded in for my buell. i miss that car i put 40k miles in a year and a half in colorado, but my buell is way cooler!!!
