Hi guys

My name is Jessie, 37, happily married and I live in Lincoln, NE. Just 2 months ago I finally got to buy my dream bike. now im the proud owner of this beautiful XB9SX City in a gorgeous blue, her name is Bea. Her previous owner had her air brushed and I think it looks awesome.
Only thing I did is taking off the hand guards and the passenger pegs and I did my magic with LEDs. :)

so long, hope to see another Buell on the streets soon.

:eagerness:

Hey Jessie!congrats! I remember seeing that bike for sale on Craigslist (looks clean! ) I live in Nebraska city. Bought my Ulysses from frontier in Lincoln actually! Hope to see you on the road sometime. Does your husband ride too?

Thanks all :)
I really do love that bike, fell in love with the streetfighter style in an instant.
@Silverrider: No clue what exhaust it is, it says "not for road use". Lol. The former owner said it was a Harley racing exhaust, i never investigated it. Maybe i should, hahaha it sounds awesome, not too loud but pretty mean.

My plans are simple. I need new handle bars, wider and with less pull back, i wanna convert the head light to xenon, change the blinkers to LED and i wanna replace the tail light with something cool. We'll see, i have time.

@Buelly: I've seen that bike on cl and i had the money. I called her, drove out 2 days later and picked it up. Lol, rode it back 30 miles without insurance, plates, registration or a drivers license. I was so scared on the road.
Not because i felt unsafe, i rode crotch rockets for years. I didnt want to get pulled over, rofl.

In the pic, it does look like a Buell factory race exhaust ,hard to find nowadays ,, how about your ECM Race also ?

Ok........please don't take any offense to my post. That machine looks like it was HIGHLY neglected. With that being said, i would worry more about dry rotted tires, cracks in the drive belt, full flush of front and rear masters, oil change in both holes, brake pads front and rear, primary chain adjustment if necessary instead of putting on a virtual myriad of led lights. Again this is not meant to be mean, its for your own safety!!!!!

i dont take any offense from anything, don't worry. my upgrades are my winter project tho and I will bring it to Harley for a winter check before she goes hibernating. the bike has been checked last year and not been driven since then. :)

Buell Race exhaust, huh? I may check if I can find them somewhere. thx.

Lots of potential here boys. This is pretty much what I started with and little by little each winter attacking different areas and systems you get the pride and satisfaction of recovering a Buell. Certainly worth it, especially if you can do most of it yourself. What did one of you say about my bike recently "built by Lance" from St.Paul's online Harley Davidson. This is only partially true, he just supplies the new parts :)

I would like to offer a friendly suggestion to manage an anticipated down time. There is a front engine mount bolt that Buell's with a little weather corrosion don't want to give up without a fight. Harley takes pre-orders and manufactures this part for Buells ONLY once a year. The removal of this mount is necessary to rotate the engine down from the frame for several common services and issues. The rubber around this bolt will most likely be destroyed in the process of loosening. Not a particularly expensive part just not readily available when you need one. Here is the part and as fate would have it some are still available from Lance. But it will be March of 2018 before more will be made if they make more at all.

Enjoy your new to you Buell! Sure looks pretty in the picture but like Tootsie... don't get too close LOL.
