Hey guys and gals
First of all thanks for all the great and useful info on the site. I used this forum to help with research and advice for the last few months when I was looking around for a Buell. And now that I have one I thought I better register, introduce myself and join in.
I have been interested in the Lightnings since I first saw and rode one at a demo back in 2003. But the planets were never properly aligned for me until recently. I picked up a super clean, totally stock, very low mileage 06 XB9SX last week. The Buell will be my primary comutter and around-town errand runner.
I've been pretty much a motoholic since I started riding 13 years ago as a teenager- street, sport, comutting, desert, trail, MX, supermoto, adventure touring, etc. I like all bikes, but love twins and singles and the smell of premix.
I have a bunch of various Hondas and an Aprilia but this Buell is a first for me in many ways- first American branded bike, first narrow V, first air-cooled street bike, first bike with so many innovative and unorthodox design features.
I already have a ton of questions for you guys, so thanks in advance!
