Hey guys and gals :)

First of all thanks for all the great and useful info on the site. I used this forum to help with research and advice for the last few months when I was looking around for a Buell. And now that I have one I thought I better register, introduce myself and join in.

I have been interested in the Lightnings since I first saw and rode one at a demo back in 2003. But the planets were never properly aligned for me until recently. I picked up a super clean, totally stock, very low mileage 06 XB9SX last week. The Buell will be my primary comutter and around-town errand runner.

I've been pretty much a motoholic since I started riding 13 years ago as a teenager- street, sport, comutting, desert, trail, MX, supermoto, adventure touring, etc. I like all bikes, but love twins and singles and the smell of premix.

I have a bunch of various Hondas and an Aprilia but this Buell is a first for me in many ways- first American branded bike, first narrow V, first air-cooled street bike, first bike with so many innovative and unorthodox design features.

I already have a ton of questions for you guys, so thanks in advance! :D

welcome! this forum has helped me out alot w/ my buell. post a pic. of your bike, like everyone around here i never get tired of looking at buells.(put up a pic. of your ct70 too.):D

Welcome to the family and congrats!

There are a few threads floating around you may be interested in. Age thread, occupation thread, pics of your bike thread, pics of yourself thread, pics of yourself with a buell shirt thread etc. They're a good way to see info on the frequenters on here.

Welcome and congrats on the planets alignment, I'm A lover of the smell of premix also, but those days sadly seem to have passed (except minis).[up]

Welcome to your new addiction and the Buell "Family". Glad to have you on board! Ask away with any questions you may have, we as a "community", will help out as best we can. Nice intro BTW.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)

Took teh Buell for the first pleasure ride this morning on some local back highways. A lot of impressions, mostly good but some not so good and a little disappointing.

Here is a pic of the bike in Patagonia, AZ
