Mine were supposed to finally go in this weekend but when I took the lights apart I got to see first-hand what the recall was about. The reflective material had blistered and peeled away - I'm not sure how any light even got through. Just waiting to talk to the HDD about it tomorrow.

see you can get a newer year housing possibly from someone parting a newer bike. If I'm not mistaken I think that recall was up to 06 bikes.

I zip tied them to the left and right of the ecm under the front fairing. it pushes it out from what I noticed but its very little, less than an eighth of an inch. I relocated my turn signal relay to a bolt a little bit further back behind the windscreen. when you take the relay off you will see a rubber wire loom that holds your wiring to the bracket. you can take the bolt loose and secure your relay to that and its still hidden. I can post pictures if you need me too. might take me a bit to get them tho

I know where you're talking about - don't worry about the pics. There's plenty of room in the front; just curious what spot different people are using.

looks good. hey do you have any problems with both of them coming on at the same time. ie. is there a delay on your high-beam? I did the same to my Scg and for some reason the high-beam only comes on half of the time and with a delay.

I turned the high beam on with the switch after the bike was turned on, it wasn't started but I still don't have a problem with the lights momentarily turning off when starting they stay lit.

They look very bright but how is the light pattern? Are they out of focus or do they cast a good focused beam that wont blind other drivers? I hate riding at night but when I do I want good lighting. I hit a deer at night on my Triumph but better lighting would not of mattered then..

I haven't rode it with the lights in. but from what I can tell they are still have a good focused beam. they are bright as hell tho.

Just put the same kit in my 1125cr... low beam only thou!! Much brighter!! If I could do it again I would have gone 4k, There is a hint of blue in the 5k.

I got 4500 or 4 k on my bolt and love them!! Just installed them a few weeks ago, took some getting use to but end the end some of the best money i have spent ;)

Any of you guys have any heat issues from these HIDs? Is there a heat difference between stock bulbs, 35w HID, and 55w HID? I like the way they look, I just don't want to melt anything. Thanks :)

If you saw what my stock headlight housing looked like I think you'd lean towards playing it safe with the 35w for the Bolt. I'm still waiting for the new housings to come in so I can get back on the road.
