Fox river Harley in St Charles Il. Ordered keys for my 06 uly according to vin# from Milwaukee week later had factory copies $27.50 pair

i went to harley and had them order them. Came in a pair for about 30 bucks and took a week to get in

Not sure if you guys get what i mean. I dont want a "key", i know i can get a reg shop to cut one. Id really like a buell key, with the original blue rubber and logo on it. my local dealer hasnt been good, can i do this by phone to another dealer?

I did understand what you're looking for, but good luck in finding the original blanks with the Buell logo on them. there is another blank key with the blue rubber, but has the number stamped into it...no logo, and the shape is not identical to the original key

ok, i went to my local dealer with my key and my vin number.....as i thought they said thursday i would have it...its friday and i have no call and when i called them they are lost.....i hope when i show up there i will have better answers for me on sat

Keep us updated on the outcome of this. I've got some ilco keys cut for my bike but I'd love to have the actual Blue Buell key.

My extra key. Got it on Ebay, then just went to hardware store.

Steal away :D Real easy to make. Just grab a spare key - had one made at the lock smith for a couple of dollars. Didn't want to use one of my main keys. Cut the key down, take a old screwdriver, heat up the shaft and pull it out of the handle. Then, heat up the key and jam it into the handle. Let it cool. Done.

A couple of my LEO friends like it a lot... One wants me to make him one.

I do get some looks when I'm filling up, looks like I jammed a screwdriver into the gas cap.

JohnnyD I will definetly try it, but with a snap on handle....haha.
As for the keys, I finally got them from my local H-D dealer for 31 and change for 2 keys with the buell plastic! SWEET! Im happy and I got the 4 digit code with it for extras incase i get a case of the whackos and lose all of em.....

Looks like I'm getting new keys from the dealer when I get back from this deployment. I will steal the screwdriver idea with my other key.
