Hey Guys I'm looking at getting into the X1's. There is a 2002 X1WL close to me. It only has 2800 miles, new Odyssey battery, new dunlop tires and the full Factory Race Kit with the ceramic coated race header. Looks all stock with the lower spoiler. Bike is white with white wheels. The guy is asking $6200. Is this a fair price or too high? Thanks!!

Seems realy steep but tubers with low miles can bring good money more than some newer xbs because there are less around. Id say its prolly worth between $4000-$5000

I bought my 99 X1 in 08 with 3200 miles.... bone stock for $3500
Granted the 02 is overall a better year, plus the race kit, plus low mileages, but i would still say $5000 MAX....

The 02 had the updated short shock.
I would check the isolators that connect the rear engine mount to the frame. There have been updated ones since then.
Also the front engine isolator was just updated.
Check front engine mount bolts -
Check around the head gasket for wetness -
There is still alot of aftermarket for the X1.. check out americansportbike.com

Hey guys, I talked to the owner and he bought the bike 18 months ago and put the race ECM, race header and muffler, new tires and new odyssey battery. The bike looks like it came off the showroom floor, no scratches or dings anywhere. Looks brand new. Has 2800 miles. He has the factory service manual, and parts book, original ecm, header and muffler. He was at $6200 and I offered him $5000. He came back at $5500. So is it worth it or do I hold out and look for something else? He said he paid $5200 when he bought it and has receipts showing he has $7000 in it, so $1800 in receipts. Just don't want to pay more than it is worth. Whatcha all think???
Its a little steep but... finding a low mile, limited edition, race kit installed, all stock parts on hand, bike?!?!?.... What do you want more... that 500 bucks or that bike?

youre gonna be stoked! I bought an 02 x1 WL 3 mo. ago with the intention of flipping it and making some extra cash for another project...boy was I wrong. I'm not gonna bore you with a long list of bikes I've owned over the last 20 years but, hands down one of the best bikes I've ever owned. I wont ruin your day with telling you how much I paid for mine, at the end of the day a bikes worth depends on the buyer. If your happy with it now, your gonna be outta your head when it's yours.
