Hi folks

Just registered here and wanted to say hi and thanks for this great site. I've got a '06 Uly I bought new - had a 99 X1 before that. I was a member of another Buell forum for a long time but things have gone dramatically downhill over there lately - seems to roughly coincide with the time since HD gave Erik the axe. Anyway, I can't believe I've wasted so much time over there wading through the BS. I wouldn't be surprised to run into some folks here who are members there as well - at least some of the logins look very similar. I've got my battery on a slow charge hoping to get the bike out tomorrow. Its the original battery and probably needs to be replaced - maybe after we pay off some Xmas bills

Ride safe

Thanks and I will have to get some pics. On Christmas day I lost the hard drive on my laptop and with it all most all of my photos. The Ulys mostly stock though. Most the mods are minimally or not visible at all- Drummer, a Back-Off brake modulator, after market mirrors, breather reroute. I did paint the plastics on the H-B hardbags to match the Midnight Black bike color and added some LEDs under the topcase reflector but again, it looks pretty much like stock.

Hey Guys

Former Air Force here, 7 years active duty, took 8 years off and just finished up 13 years in the Air National Guard. Two deployments to Iraq in the last few years and during the first one I worked more with US Army than I did with Air Force. Absorbed a good bit of Army "culture" during that time and "Hooaah" became imbedded in my vocabulary. I'd always had admiration for the sister services but during that rotation I earned a deeper respect for guys in the Army, the Marines, the Navy, coalition partners and some other US guys who never volunteered who exactly they reported too. And it really didn't matter. Anyway, it was a great ride and I miss it already but the clock kept ticking while I sat out for 8 years and I bumped up against my mandatory separation date this last November.

Welcome and thanks for your service! I think you'll like it here!
