Been lurking for a while now and decided to finaly join in on the fun....Im out of Vegas and have a few bikes.. 2001 X-1 buell " the cafe racer project ", 1999 996 Ducati, 2009 Aprilia RSV1000R FACTORY " redlion edition " and 2007 CR250R for fun times in the desert and dunes...I purchased the buell about 8 months ago for a solid base to build a american based cafe racer...8 months later and thousands of dollars later i can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel and my vision coming to fruition...Even though i had been lurking on here i have extracted so much information which in turn has made my build so much more painless...I would love to post pic's of the build but i think due to being a new memeber i cannot post pic's at this time...:(

Welcome officially! If youve been lurking that long you should know im gonna say pics or it diddnt happen. :D

Whats the image upload error message? Files have to be within size to upload to this site or you can use photobucket and use the image button and past in the url. Sounds like a badass collection you got. Lookin forward to seeing it.[up]

Here is what my x-1 started out as..As you can see in the previous post i have blasted, powdercoated, polished and modded ever bit of this bike!!! I will post a full break down/explination later on of all the details that has gone into this project so far..I hope to have the bike fully built and painted by October.

Welcome to the board! I'm out of Vegas too. I've definitely seen your 996 around a few places like the Vintage Bike Night. I've also got a soft spot for Aprilias. I had a 2001 Mille R and still think of it fondly.

Great looking bikes and the build is coming along nicely!

Ok the cafe x1 project is done..Here are some pic's...Still working out some tuning issues. And yes that is a S1 tank on my X1 and the bike is still fuel injected...What a pain in the the ass it was for me to mod the tank to accept the fuel pump assembly...
