New owner, need a little help

So I just picked up a 2000 x1 millennium edition and am loving it so far. Already put new brass shifter bushings in.

I have done a lot of searching, but I havnt been able to find the answers to the following questions.

1) how can I mount fatbars to my bike? I had mx bars on my r6 streetfighter project and miss those.
2) I think I need fuel injector since the bike sat for a while and it still hesitates even though the injectors were cleaned. The po suggested they may be corroded. All sensors are brand new. Where can I get a set of new injectors?
3) is the force winder the only real replacement for the huge plastic intake? Has anyone made there own? I want that look but don't like the price tag...

I'm sure I have others but this is all I can remember at the moment.

as for injectors, i may be wrong, but i think you can use ford bosch fuel injectors... not positive though. Would look into it.

As for the forcewinder.. i made my own. I found an elbow on ebay for a carbed harley. Bought a coned filter and then modded my throttle body mount. I ground 3 slots in it and then welded nuts to the back side. These line up with the 3 bolt holes on the elbow. I then Counter sunk the factory holes and used flat faced allen bolts to mount to the throttle body. Then a gasket and then the elbow bolts right to the throttle body bracket. Works GREAT.. I have maybe $40 into it.

Do those clamps replace the existing top clamp or do yo have to modify the existing lower clamp in any way?

I think I'm gonna try and make my own intake now. I saw your bike on custom fingers and hat is part o the reason I bough. An x1 over an xb (that and I go a great deal...)

Going back to the injectors, I rode the bike for around an hour today and I am almost leaning towards bad mapping. I heard there were problems with the oem ECM mapping on he early bikes. I'm thinkin his might be the culprit in the stuttering. I have an ECM spy cable and am thinking about getting he race tune. Anyone know where I can download it?

I have a 99 race tune i can send you but i am not 100% if it will work on a 2000....

ill have to look at my X1 upper... but those bar mounts should bolt right on. They do on my XB upper... you dont mod anything.

I don't see why the ECM from a ''99 would be different from. 2000. The motors are the same...

I have the same problem with my 99 x1 sputtering. Only seems to happen at 3k rpm. Every now and then the engine hesitates but I have gotten use to this. Want to fix it but don't know how and I have other projects to do on the bike. I know this doesn't help but just wanted you to know you are not alone.

Try running a 10 ga. (I think it was 10) wire from the neg terminal on the coil directly to neg battery post. Theres a write up on it in the diy section.
