Looks pretty evil man. I dig it.

The concerns about lost torque are valid but only technically so. These motors make loads of foot pounds with lots of area under the curve. He's probably not crying himself to sleep at night over lost grunt. (not trying to poop on your post 1972c10 just sharing my experience with this kind of motor without a muffler.)

The sound however HAS to be pretty intense. POP POP POP POP POP POP POP RAAAAAARR!!

Does it make your skull ring?

Do you ride it all the time or on sundays, etc?

Edit: One concern I do have with this setup is a lack of protection for that fragile oil filter. It's pretty easy to poke a hole in one. You could probably fab up a little black wire cage that'd look as evil as the rest of your bike.

I like loud but that's just to much for me JMO . My pipe is completely gutted with no packing and its loud but holy $#!+ it doesn't compare to that . I rode my bike a coulpe miles to pay my rent when I had my pipe off gutting it and it was TOO MUCH . If I only rode every so often and very short trips maybe but I ride a lot and all over .

To each is own and I do think it looks good .[up]

Very cool looking. It'd be a bit too much for me, but hey, Harley guys rock straigh pipes all the time. Those who can, do...

I think it'd be cool to have them turn down in the same spot, but then wrap under the bike and have the tips in the same location as stock. Would quiet it a bit. But like said if you like it then cool :)

I just want to know where is the little smile guy with his jaw dropped? Cuz I'm shocked. Love it..yes. I like loud, but dang I would love to see it in person.well hear it.

Oh yeah do you think you could get a drive-by video with your new pipes?

I'd love to hear it with a load on the engine.

it shoots about a 4" flame out of both pipes under hard throttle and about 2" just driving added a magnumtuning chip to compensated for the airbox delete and the pipes and by the way the pipes are twisted choppers slash cut...its pretty freaking loud but I just got a helmet so its not to bad.I pretty regularly make 250+ mile runs on it when I do get to ride it so yeah..its also got the open breather mod on it. I just ran them to open air back by the swing arm. and by the way thanks for all the positive feedback makes the process worth while :) I am a mechanic for Detroit diesel and have had some struggles but those pipes worked me like a little school girl going on!!! the pipes are for a sportster and I figured what the hell may as well try something different. there were a few "mods" that had to be made to get them.to fit. I will post a link of a video when I get a chance.

Well now you've got us all worked up.
So now it's going to have to be three angle HD steadycam panning shots with surround recorded audio.

At night.

haha yeah dunno about surround sound but....ill do my best and yeah skid plate may be needed where I live! drove through about 4" of gravel the other day surprisingly its was a little squirrely! I will attempt a night time video either tonight or tomorrow night if work let's me leave before 10 at night!!

finally got my powdercoating stuff up and running...not good...everything I own will shortly be powdercoated black!lol

if you are interested this would def help your pipes a little without doing much to the sound. harley guys use this trick on drag pipes all the time and ive personally seen the differences on a dyno. looks pretty good although why not the same length, i want to hear how they sound.
