I was getting tired of the red plastics...and since my buddy runs a body shop, he said to just bring the pieces by and he'll shoot em for me no charge! Awesome! So i go to remove my airbox cover and find the plastic on 3 of the four screws was broken.
Rather than try to repair them, I just decided to purchase brand new smoke plastics from Buellparts.net. Excellent customer service and communication with the exception of their email saying the parts were being shipped and i'd receive an email with tracking. I never received the second email so i contacted them this am to ask for tracking...five minutes later, UPS was dropping them off to me! All in all, it was only a few days to get them in my hands! Packed perfectly and with care, i will definitely purchase from them again!
I installed them as soon as i got home and have fallen in love with my bike again! My buddy is shopping for an XB12SCG so hoping he picks up one with black wheels so we can swap. He likes the red!
Question for y'all: Previous owner had the Jardine exhaust already on the bike, but the lower chin fairing is missing. Does it not fit with the aftermarket exhaust or can i just purchase a new one and slap it on? or does it need to be modified.
