Starting a business (design and strategy) with a partner and we need to get some office space ready.

Bought this 1950s fridge 3 years ago, with "some rust at bottom".

Guys covered it up with this:

Plan is to make repair sections, weld in and respray in powder blue colour.

Inside and motor still 100%

Will post a pic of fridge tomorrow.

It is showing up fine in my browser, anybody else not seeing it?

Anyway, the little one on the right is the fridge being restored.
There is another one to the left that needs to be done.

Inside is nearly perfect:

Took off the door this morning, stripped and cataloged screws and fasteners.

Also fixed small cracks on inside door panel.

I love dem old fridges. Most of my friends have old ones for beer fridges in their garages. I've got a Kelvinator I am trading for an IH fridge. The old ones have style the new ones just don't have, and while they may cost a little more to run, they run forever. I'll see if I can get a couple pictures of mine.

Indeed Big twin! [up]

Originally bought it for the fridge and then thought it would look great on the little bike.
Still have to finish it up with new jets and petcock, but waiting for our silly exchange rate to get a bit better...

Started making new panels last weekend. No fancy tools. Stock standard hand tools:

Hand formed replacement panels and they fit perfectly!

Did it like this:

Clamped in place and hammer formed with chasing tool (thick piece of rod).

And done!

Few more repair sections to make, then welding, finishing and painting!

Got around to make another repair section.

Support brace/channel that was rusted through.

Couldn't find U-channel, so took rectangular tubing and notched it.

Welding is not too bad for novice with faulty oxygen regulator on gas welding set!
