I just picked up a Scorpion EXO 1000 helmet in flat black. Comfy with a lot of nice features.

What advantages does this do for the bike Gator? and about what is the cost?

How do you like the scorpion? I had one about 2 years ago (one of the lower end) and liked it pretty well compaired to my friends KBC... think the 1000 is worth the money?

It collects 1000 times more data 1000 times faster than the stock 02. It just makes data logging much easier and more precise. It also allows you to set your afr lower than the ecm will allow by tricking the ecm to think its at 14.7 but accually at 14.0 or what ever you want it to be. The optimum afr for power and cool running in a v twin is 14.0 to 1 afr. There is a lot of other things you can do with it. Be warned its not a easy job to install it and its not a plug and play setup. I think I payed around 200 for it.

So far I like it, its a little heaver than my AC-12 HJC but its quieter and vents better. I like the fighter pilot drop down visor and its very comfortable. But I really want to reserve judgment until I have a few hundred miles on it. I read a article that the head engineer from Arai got into a argument with the ceo and quit to start Scorpion Helmets. So you know the quality and safety is there.

I have had this helmet for about 10 months and it has been pretty good. I just think it is a very loud helmet. I get wind tunnel really bad so when I get done riding my ears are still ringing. It has a few cool features like inflating cheak pads to and the drop down visor but I think it adds to the weight.

Helmet is comfortable though. Visor connected with good hardware.

Bought my exo 1000 apollo in january, same time as my friend. The features are very nice and functional but I don't know about the quality. The liner in his pushes out in the back if you pump up the cheeks at all and the snaps that hold the padding in mine are questionable, one broke taking my helmet off after riding one day. It is a loud helmet also but overall I'm very happy with it. The visor lock is a nice feature as well for lightning riders and the shaded visor is such a nice feature don't have to carry sunglasses or switch visors ever
