New to Buell, and the Forum

First off, I want to say thanks. I bought my 2006 XB12R a few months back, and have run into issues. I'd use other posts to look for a solution to whatever issue I had. I finally signed up today because my recent issue has me at a standstill. I got caught in a rainstorm on Sunday. Made it out the other side, but lost power to my gauges but not the indicator lights (low gas, neutral, etc.) Then, the bike sputtered and died on me. I can get it started, but it dies after a few minutes. Already has a new battery, all new fuses, and I've checked for any shorts. Any of you great minds have any ideas?

Bad stator or regulator. But first make sure all grounds are tight. On the neck and in the tail

I was leaning in that direction. I did not want to buy something I didn't necessarily need to buy before asking for thoughts and opinions on it first. Greatly appreciated.

Oh, also, check the 77 connector, google "buell 77 connector" plenty of info will come up on it
