Many ways to go about the mods. I'd say frame pucks, tune with exhaust and filter, axle sliders, breather re-route, the list goes on and on. The main thing u can do is use the "search" function and just read, other than that, don't be afraid to ask questions.

I recommend modding your odometer for about 5000 miles. While you're working on that, follow the recommendation above and do some research. After you've had some time in the saddle you'll have a better idea what you want to do with your bike. Get out and ride it!

I love these threads. Sometimes seeing peoples priorities with first mods makes me question the future of the human race. The movie Idiocracy comes to mind.

Everyone is going to recommend whatever mods that they did in that order. I'd like to see some honest answers where people admit that some things should take more priority than just mods that they've done.

spend money on good riding gear if you dont already have it.are you more concerned with looks or performance? for performance exhaust, breather reroute, open air box with k&n,ebr ecm to match your pipe or tune yours.if your going to tune yours get a hold of the octopus and he can help you.for looks and to protect the bike frame pucs axle sliders, tail chop wich i will do for free, dual light mod, levers, mirrors, pegs and brake and clutch foot controls, led t-sigs.

thanks,i will do anyones for free dosnt take long and they can use the money for some other mod.

Learn to tune. Single most important component of any plan to mod your bike's performance in the future. Save yourself hundreds of dollars in junk "race" ECMs.

Of course, I'm biased.

That's a good assumption, but isn't entirely correct. I recommended the breather re-route and I myself haven't even done it. From what I read on here about the mod it seems like a very good to-do mod so I recommended it. Kind of contradicting on my part, but thats what I'm about, researching before modding. The search function, it does wonders for education. lol

Edit: After re-evaluating my response I think Anrkizm95 got the best logical answer. Buy good riding gear!

I would say that the first thing you should do is get the cable and software. The rest depends so much on what you want from the bike. What kind of rider are you? We are all different.
For me Hawk and K&N came first, then came LED turn and tail lights and frame pucks.
Because I like to spend a few hours in the saddle, I replaced the grips and will soon replace the saddle (Corbin, maybe?). After 100 miles or so, the Firebolt seat begins to feel more like a piece of plywood.

Your safety first.... Good helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, etc..

Then bikes safety.... Front and rear axle sliders, frame pucks, suspension setup, brighter tail light, headlight and signals, good brakes, tires, etc..

Then performance or appearance mods.... Which will never end!

Ride safe!

Dave xb can be condescending at times. He thought because I didnt like his audi style leds that I didnt like his bike. LOL! He asked opinions! Also. I list frame pucs as first because I went down on my bike without them. Luckily the pucs covered the dent and I recovered in a few months. Chears mate! Have fun! My bad...here is #1. MOD>>>>>>Helmet, gloves and a armored riding jacket. Peace [cool]
