New to Buell

I just purchased a Cherry 07xb12scg with air breather and exhaust. I always wanted a Buell lightning so I bought it over the net. The salesman said to let it run for awhile before riding or shutting it off or I might foul out spark plugs. Is this normal?

letting it idle WILL foul your plugs, as well when your done riding, the fan will more then likely come on and thats ok cause it's doing its job....

Yeah, let it idle long enough to gear up (1 min. or so), hop on and take it easy for the first several miles then you can punch it. If you let it idle too long, it Will get unnecessarily Hot and foul your plugs. Put in some NGK Iridiums (# DCPR9EIX) and you will love them as they are more foul-resistant compared to regular And Platinums.

Do this Breather Re-route and it'll help with the occasional "hiccups" it may have. Oh, and Welcome to the Forum. [up]
