Well, finally picked up the bike today. It's been wet and rainy but I still managed to ride it 40 miles. So much fun!! Will update with more pics soon.

Rode to work today. So much for the bike being nice and clean!

On another note, the check engine light came on when I was just about at the end of the ride to work. The bike has a Jardine GP1, but I don't believe it was tuned/had a map. It has a bit of a hesitation when riding ~30 mph in 2nd or 3rd and sometimes has a little hiccup when accelerating. Feels like it needs to be tuned, what do you guys think? Other than that, the thing rides and runs great!

Had a gift card so I picked this up off Amazon today:

I'm excited to be able to tune the bike and pull codes since I had the check engine light come on on me today. It's going to be a learning process for sure though.

FYI, you don't need the cable to pull the codes. I'd check on that light asap.

Bike is throwing code 13, which if my info is correct is the O2 sensor. Probably what's causing the hesitation I would assume. Think it's okay to ride while I order one?

Update: The check engine light doesn't come on until ~20-25 miles or so into my 30 mile ride to work. This morning it seemed like it came on when I went WOT in 5th gear for a moment. I can shut the bike off and turn it back on and it won't come back on for a few minutes. This is confusing.

Update:

Put over 2,000 miles on the Buell already and am loving every second of it. I ride it every to work provided it isn't raining.

Right rear blinker broke between one of the convolutions so I ordered one from BuellParts and replaced it. I wanted the updated ones but couldn't justify spending $40/blinker.

Yesterday riding home I went to adjust the left side mirror and it came off in my hand [down] so now I am looking for a replacement. I saw a few that I liked on Amazon with the LED blinker integrated, see link here:

Does anyone have these or something similar? Again, I'd like the 1125 mirrors but am not going to spend $150 on a pair of mirrors.

My 35w 4500k HIDs arrived last night so those will be going in this weekend when I get the time.

gorgeous bike man - where did you get the HID's from ??

i would reccomend doing the time delay also - HID's don't like being turned off when they're not gassed up all the way.

Thanks for the link Litos, I got them from DDMtuning. I had good luck with them in the past in both of my trucks, but I heard bad things about the quality as of late. They came in ~1 week which I wasn't expecting. Looks like they changed their Raptor ballast to a very large sized one within the past year or so which sucks but we'll see once I get them installed.

Got my HIDs in on Tuesday night and put the bike back together last night just in time to take it out for a little ride. I must say, they made a HUGE difference in brightness. I have two sets in my truck and these are easily brighter. Now to go do some night riding![up]
