I've been lurking these boards for a little while now and I really like this forum so I figured hey why not sign up

I don't have a bike YET...

but I already have my sights on getting an XB9 as soon as my money is in order, I think I will very happy with my choice :D

Any advice on the bike and riding is much appreciated

welcome aboard. good luck with a bike in the future. I'm sure you're learn plenty about buell's and riding tips in general just by browsing.

btw-nice name [cool]

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your search, you won't regret the Buell. What's your riding experience on bikes?

ummmm none actually...

But I stay in memphis and the bumpus harley-davidson has great new rider courses from what I understand

They use buell blasts for the courses so it should be safe, educational and lots of fun (also knocks some cost off the insurance with their endorsment) ;)

They are and it's great that you're taking one before jumping on. Whether you catch on fast or slow, been riding a long time or first time, you'll get something out of the courses. Especially if you've never ridden. I took the MSF course and highly recommend it also. Ride Safe :D[up]

I love my 9. i had to make some adjustments for it to fit perfectly (im on the shorter side) but once i did its been the most comfortable bike ive ridden. I get a lot of "what kinda bike is that" questions too so get ready.

You are lucky to be close to Bumpus. They are very Buell friendly. I bought my 09 xb12ss from their Murfreesboro store, and have only had great dealings with them. Good luck on your Buell purchase.

welcome to the club. The best thing about this forum is that everyone acts like adults.[up]

Have fun with your bike and be careful.

Yes Sleipnir is the name of Odin's 8 Legged horse.. easy to see how I picked up on that one [cool]

hmmm I suppose I'm a bit on the short side also. I already figured my first change would be seating, I'm more than ready for the wtf is that questions. :D

I've only seen 2 buells around memphis, and older S1 and a CR that raced past my work truck on a winding back road no less! hahaha

Thanks for the encouragment everyone. ;)

Not a lot of buell riders around but I notice we all stick together.
