New to me 03 9R

Like the title says, just picked up an 03 9R. My new winter project. A little rough, been dropped on the left side.

The good:
18k miles
Good motor
Good tranny
Race pipe
Race ECM

The bad:
Wasted plastics (yep, that's Plastidip all over it)
Broke left footpeg
Broke shifter pawl, linkage and lever
Hole in the swingarm brace
Both forks leaking
Broke rear subframe
Both tires are shot, front is bald and the rear was down to the cord in one spot. The rear master cyl was bone dry, yep, no rear brake (as I found out quickly when I almost plowed through the stop sign at the end of his street). Yes, he was riding it daily.

Fortunately, I'll be tracking it so most of the issues are purely cosmetic and aren't necessary.

I don't even know what to say about this...

Or this. Yeah, that's a 5/16 wrench in place or the linkage. The carriage-head bolt for the pivot was a nice touch too

I'll use this thread to make updates to the rebuild and efforts toward track worthiness

Some very "custom" solutions on that one. I'm looking forward to seeing the build and final result. Hopefully you got a smokin deal on it.

pin wall cycles on ebay for the little stuff, even used plastics could be found on the cheap that have been painted

Yep, got all my sources lined up and will prob be posing a parts wanted thread as soon as I get a list together. It's mostly small parts anyway and I bet I've got most of it in the garage from take-offs from my Scg.

Did most if the tear-down this afternoon except for the forks and motor. Thinking about shipping the heads up to NRHS for a little "massaging". I'm also contemplating an SS/ST swingarm swap

The muffler and ECM alone are worth more than 1/2 what I paid for the whole bike
