I'll give it a try. It's difficult to do that by myself. Because it won't start without the kickstand up. It's always in neutral. The fuel pump won't Prime unless it's up. So that step you advised I'll need to get a secondary person. The kickstand switch works. But I read there is a clutch switch that works along with it...?

hey if the neutral light is staying on and wont start with the kickstand down you have a bad fuse in acc its a 7.5. i have a 03 xb9s and the neutral light came on when i pulled the clutch in/ had low voltage problem also/it was so weird the fuse was good with a tester/ but was bad in the acc fuse box/i put a new 1 in and everything works now
Hey so I have an 08 firebolt xb12r it's not charging the battery I have changed oil spark plugs and even got 2 differnt new batteries but am still have the same issue the check engine light has come on and goes in and off intermintenly while riding I think I have narrowed it down to the voltage regulator and or stator I have no idea how to begin on how to check these or if that's the issue any one with ideas ??!

a few ideas:
1-your CEL is activating and storing a fault code for charging system. ecm not seeing sufficient charging volts and activating lite.
2-download service manual if you don't have one...then go to charging system and diagnostics
3- you check the VR(volt regulator) with ohms....you check the alternator(stator) with AC volts......NOT DC.....AC
