Hello all! Just wanted to say a quick hello as I have finally purchased my first Buell. It's a 2003 Firebolt, 9200 Miles, Race ECM, K&N Filter, Hawk exhaust, and breather mod. From what I can tell it has had all the 04+ updates which was a nice surprise as well. I've taken the passenger footpegs off but haven't done anything else as of yet.

Welcome and nice bike, exactly like mine. Is that the harbor freight rear wheel stand?

kab, yes, it is that stand. It's just a little too short to get the back wheel completely off the ground so when doing any work where you need to be able to spin the rear wheel I just throw a couple 2x4's under it.

Very nice bike. Low mileage too. I don't blame you about the passenger stirrups. As soon as my wife said she wasn't gonna be riding much I took'em off.

is it a 9 or a 12?
I thinks it's a niner [up]

Nice bike! Love the white plastics! Welcome to the forum! [up]

Look us up for some sliders to protect your new investment or to update your front pulley cover with a 5-0dro front pulley cover!

Nice Bike!

I bought that stand and it would not fit my swingarm. Strange how it fits yours...

Looks like mine except my "tank decals" are blue. Looks like they kept the wheels up too. Im still trying to get mine to shine. Nice looking bike i love white.[cool]

I did have to reverse the inserts in the stand and give it a little "help" to open it up a bit. I use a chunk of steel rod that I slip through the axle then pick that up with the stand to avoid the stand actually touching the bike to prevent any scratches on the arm. Short term and long term plans are pretty much the same, just enjoy it for what it is and ride it. Might switch to a tinted windshield though. I will be switching to different tires as well.

Next thing I would do is remove the ugly reflectors off the forks. Just my opinion. I recently removed my belt guards and sanded and polished the rear belt pulley lip. The belt guards are a SOB to removed on the 03.
