Got this home Sunday night (about 130-135 miles riding it home). Since then, I've put about 70 more miles on the bike. The motorcycle is running very, very strong and smooth, and I'm taking it very easy until I get used to this much torque on tap.

These pictures are after about 4 hours total work cleaning and detailing it...still a good bit to do; however, I think we're at the stage where I'm happy posting up pics.

Details:

2009 XB12R
Drummer Exhaust
Race ECM (tuned)
ASB crankcase breather and catch-can mod
1" drop pegs (thank God)
Pilot Pwr tires
I've installed the axle sliders that you can see in the photos - engine sliders to come shortly
7750 miles

^^^^^^^^ :D[up] as always jesse.
when you remove the cap to install it correctly(you can read "buell" from the seated postion) be sure to spray some quality lube in the key latch as well as the underneath frame latch ears. keeps the key from possibly breaking off inside the lock. nice bike!

Will do - that's the way the cap was when I bought it....so I hadn't changed it....

For the price breakdown - I got a LOT of gear with it (buell bags and tail bag, heated gear controller and vest, XB9S pieces that I'll be listing here, nice jacket, Shoei helmet, stock exhaust and ECM, tons of AMSOIL, stock airbox, etc.)...all told I paid $4,500 for it. Seller is great guy from South Carolina - great to meet him and his dad in person when we did the exchange.

Oil has been changed (both swing arm and primary) - gas has been changed to premium/non-ethanol as well over the course of the two days.

I've written Kevin at Drummer - all I need is the left bracket (seller had the right)...I DO need the right screws to mount the chin cowl. Anyone able to tell me what I need there?

Nice Bike
What's odd though is the airbox protector is also upside down.
Did the previous owner ride the bike backwards or something?
Fortunately the drummer is installed correctly
:D

I think that was installed like that because it is actually too long for the cover and would have overlapped the Buell logos

yeah - I don't know myself either....it looks okay to me, so I'm rolling with it :)

Anyway - thanks for the nice comments!

Question - what bolts am I going to need to install the chin cowl? (keeping in mind, of course, that I'll be using the Drummer brackets to mount it.

Cheers....

Okay - update for progress to date. Note the pictures below: engine sliders installed, headers cleaned even more, extendable/foldable brake and clutch levers installed, new seat cowl installed, Tech Spec snake skin frame grips applied, respectable bar ends on there now as well (and note the key chain :) ).

Still to do - large right side scoop, heat shield for rear header, heat shields under seat and airbox, chin cowl and fairing.

I'm getting fairly close - new tags from WA state inbound and should be here by next week. Then I'm legal to get back to riding.

yeah - I don't think I could do normal height pegs. This 49 yr. old man just isn't as flexible as he used to be.

So more progress pictures. Right side scoop and rear header heat shield installed. Waiting on Special Ops heat shields for the seat and airbox, and then the only thing left will be brackets for the chin cowl (and the chin cowl, of course).

Almost done.
