Hello,I just joined the forum,I have never owned a Buell but have had tons of street bikes, harleys, choppers and now I have a 09 street glide..But I have been thinking about building another drag bike and I want to build a Buell 1125R..I know a little bit about them,I have been doing research for weeks now,but thought I could learn alot more from asking on the forum. It may not be the route alot of you guys go,but this bike will be Drag only, very very little street use. I plan to do an adjustable swingarm, lowered front and rear, air shifter,Nitrous setup with a progressive controller and wideband, race only tail section, and shave as much weight as I can. I would like to get the bike into the mid 5's in the 1/8th..Im glad I found this forum,if anybody has any thoughts or comments, let them fly..

welcome man!!! lots of knowledge here!!!! buells are the most fun bikes around BTW!!!

Welcome. Check out a Forum member named Puzzled. If I remember correctly he drags his 1125R. There's pics on here somewhere that has his drag bar set up. He's also one of the go to guys for parts too.

Thanks guys..Here is a pic of the baddest 1125 I have seen IMO,I plan to build my bike around this one. Stretched arm, custom intake, race tail, etc. Does anybody know the 411 on this bike,HP,ET's,60ft,etc??

That is Mike M's bike, definitely bad ass.

I can dig a few of his time slips out.

Joe E. has one of the quickest stock motored bikes that we have heard of to date, 9.10's in the 1/4.

I only run a 6.366 in the 1/8 with 1.52 60' times at 109 MPH. I think I'm either running the bike up to far in the RPM range or the stock headers are hurting me. My MPH is down in comparison to Mike and Joe's. I'm geared for the 1/4 so with some 1/8 mile gearing those times may come down some.

Puzzled those times are respectable,it would be hard to cut anymore off your 60' without going with a longer arm.6.30's-6.50's are just about best that can be expected on a stock motor..With a stretched arm, decent NOS setup maybe 50hp and a good tune I would hope a 1125 would get down into the mid 5's..I would like to know more info on Mike M's bike! From studying the pics closely I see its a trac dynamics swingarm that has been adapted to fit the buell and it has a Busa rear wheel, along with suspension work, air shifter,NOS,and alot of light weight parts...
