Well believe it or not I bought a 2007 XBS12 from a dude in Connecticut, kicker is I live in Phoenix. So like any normal motorcycle guy I bought a 1-Way Flight met up and finalized the sale on the bike and now I'm chilling at IHOP in Indiana 750mi into the 2300mi ride home. 😎😎😎 Get warmed up, grub in the gut and jump back on the bike for a couple more tanks of gas before I stop to sleep somewhere in order to miss the Sunday morning drivers.

Took a slight detour right off the start to drive by and see Ground Zero, knowing the wife wants to go I decided to just drive by and only stopped for one pic. My shop hat is proof for coworkers doubtjng I would do the 2300mi trip.

1000mi down 1300 more to go.

OGIO packs are the Bomb! So glad I have it. No mater the speed or way I lay on he bike I can never tell it is there. IMG_2257.jpg

I would go for a 4or5 star Hotel with room service.

Make sure they have a microwave or at minimum a clean iron for warm grup in the gut.

Finally home! Biggest issue was the damn shifter bolt backed out and having no tools and being stubborn I drove the final 1000mi with only 5th gear.

Time to let my body heal, sleep till I work in the AM and oh yeah let my body heal.

No feeling in my right thumb, index, or middle finger. Drop Foot in my shifting leg, both arms burnt like hell from day two sun (dumbass) and some ass rash.

Nice, we just made a 1900 mile round trip to San Antonio to buy my girlfriend's first Buell. Would love for an opportunity to buy a bike and ride it back, but there is usually something wrong with the bikes I buy...

A few of us are planning to go to the bike night at Cycle Gear Mesa if you want to join, the plan is to be there around 7. As long as it doesn't rain. A few of us are coming from Maricopa if you want we can meet up on the way

Awesome trip! I just finished my secind fly n ride last week, though not quite the distance you covered. I rode 1500 miles total, when all said and done, with break-in miles and first service before I started home.

Do they do the bike night regularly? I missed your post, from last week.

Second Friday of the month. I think all cycle gears have a bike night monthly, all at different days of the month

I'm over in north phoenix I17 and the 101. I went by some cycle gear bike nights a while back and there wasn't much going on. Once the weather breaks it might change.

That is a hell of a ride man, props on that with a new/old bike.
