NGK Iridium Gap question...

I just purchased two NGK Iridium spark plugs (DCPR9EIX) to replace two very old plugs in my 2004 Buell Lightning XB12S. I was told by the salesman that there would not be a need to gap these plugs because the Iridium coating would potentially be worn off in the process. Is this true? Thanks,

yes there is a very good chance you can break the iridium tip off the plug you can gap it just take your time

Correct it should say right on the box, "Do Not Gap"

Check gap, if it's not right, exchange it.
