No 2009 Myrtle Beach Bike Week

The city of Myrtle Beach has stopped bike week for 2009 and beyond. Fall 2008 is still on but the MB / PD will ticket all bikes with "Non-Stock" "Sounding" exhaust !!

You can bet that P/U and Cars with Cherry Bombs hanging from the tail pipes are ALL save from the Law.

I talked to a guy at work the other week who lives there and he said then that there will be no more vendor licenses handed out. He said that the mayor decided that and legally they can not stop anyone from going down there. My information was a few weeks ago so it might have changed and I could be wrong. He also said that this was do to the problems that they have been having from the second bike week.

I've been doing MB for the last 7 years, until this year there "WAS" 2 bike weeks, this year 2nd week "bikers" showed up for the 1st week and stayed for both. Cherry Grove was unlivable - Bikes street racing up and down the street 24/7, and cars with stereos so loud they would drown out the bikes!
Like a lot of people here on the east coast I not only went to MB for bike week but at least once each year the whole family went to MB for "family" vacation. Not anymore! We go nowhere our bikes aren't welcome!!
