No front forks

Just watched a show on Bimota. Pretty impressive company and gorgeous bikes. Check out the Tesi - They keep the center of gravity lower by removing the weight transfer to the front forks.

Showed the pic to my girlfriend and got the response, "Looks even stranger than the Buell" - sign me up!

Love everything about it, except for that front subframe. The whole front end looks incomplete. I love naked bikes, but not when it looks like a normal sportbike with the front fairing removed. You've gotta make it look like it was at least supposed to be naked.

The tesi bikes are some of the most exotic looking rides in the universe. I want very much to molest one of them some day.

These are sweet. Does anyone have any info on how they maneuver the front wheel with this set up? Also, Xtreme, you are right. I know you were kinda joking around, but converting this to be a 2wd bike would be much simpler (it seems) than people who do 2wd bikes through traditional fork linkages.

I see the Tesi referred to as a concept but it's listed in the $37K mark as well - can you actually buy one?

Also noted that Bimota is looking for US dealers - someone get on that and cut me a deal

You can, but they are only made to order...you have to pay for it and then they will build it for you. We had a bike night here a few weeks ago that I missed, but one of my buddies went and ran into a guy riding one...

If I'm not mistaken, Bimota has constructed a 2WD sport bike in the past. I'll see if I can find it.

Well I caouldn't find the Bimota 2WD but I found a KTM with a retrofit 2wd that's pretty invisible. There's an interview as well dealing with his experience.

Yeah, there are a lot of off-roaders and crossovers that run 2wd. I am really interested in a 2wd sport bike. My brother and I came up with some back-of-a-napkin designs about a year ago now. There are a lot more issues to resolve than people realize. Has anyone made an attempt before?
