no more backfire please!

Hello again.For the last seven days i run my bike with a jardine muffler,K&N filter,and a race program[from the previous owner].Since then the bike backfires all the time.I used muffler&tailpipe sealer but still the same.Is this bad for the engine???What can i do? The bike is an XB9 with 6000km.Thanks a lot.

Very normal. Pop will be there with any straight through pipe. You can lean out the ECM but your engine life will go down.

So your options are to like it or get a chamber exhaust

Back fire when decelerating is normal, the ECM still riggers fuel into the cylinders, no problem nothing will be damaged, with the Jardine the noise is just louder. Backfire when accelerating is bad, ignition timing ect can be reason... Then go to the dealer to check.

a normal style muffler, that has hermoltz chambers, volume (space) to reduce the sound frequencies, instead of diffusers, or packing.
