We put the 06 Xb12r in the Tri magnum. It ran great for a few days, He took it for a 2 hour ride. But had to be trailered back. He said it missed a few times and puffed white smoke and then would'nt restart. I have Ecmspy hooked up to it and have checked the coils and injectors. It has fuel and spark and wont start. New plugs and a god set of wires.

The Computer was hit pretty hard in the wreck. Is there a chance that it crapped out on me? The bike does sound like it is cranking right either. I can get it to sputter but wont start.

Sorry for the long post just looking for help

Update. If I unplug the fuel pump and hold the gas pedal to the floor it will fire right up and run till its out of gas. When the pump is plugged back in it wont start. pulled the plugs again and the back one looks like its been firing but the front plug is clean and shows no sign of combustion. But it is firing. And the injectors working

It really sounds like a fueling issue, either the fuel pump is not building enough pressure or it is bad and all the fuel you are getting is from a siphoning effect. My brother and law had a problem on his CBR 600 where the fuel pump was bad, and it would still run, just ran really bad and could not give it WOT.

Just throwing out ideas. You could put a pressure gauge in the fuel line and check pretty easily.

We just installed this fuel pump. Got it from Xtremelow. Worked great for a few days. It seems like its either getting to much gas or not hot enough spark.

I would think with either of those problems you would be getting some backfiring thru the intake going on.

I am an electrician not a mechanic so I could be way off.

You could test your injectors by pulling the injectors, disconnecting your coil and making sure you are getting fuel pumping out thru both injectors, and that it looks somewhat even.

This would also tell you if you've got a stuck injector. I think of an injector as a valve(solenoid) and they do get stuck open occasionally. Especially when they haven't been used in a while and then are called upon to work.

When you pull the plugs out are they wet and smell like gas?

I'm with bguinn, sounds like a stuck injector to me.
