noise after shut down

So what's the noise that sounds like a fuel pump cycling after I ride and shut the bike off and what's the purpose?
 
You mean the cooling fan?

It's purpose is to suck the hot air from the rear cylinder out to cool the engine.
 
I wonder if he's talking about the beep that lasts for a second or two and goes on and off for like 5 minutes...
 
Oh just realized this is a 1125....sorry...I don't know much about the 1125's, although they might have cooling fans on the "radiators" (if that's what they're called on a bike).
 
No not the fans I know what that sounds like there hella loud. It sounds just like a fuel pump priming the system it will do it a few times every few minutes after shutting down
 
It is the fuel pump, it keeps the system pressurized to prevent vapor lock in the fuel system
