Non-Buell Dealer Parts Ordering...

Hey BPG,

I know the best way to find this out is to call the dealership, but they're not open right now, and won't be open tomorrow...can Harley dealerships that don't sell Buells orders parts for Buells? I know they may not want to, but can they?

I don't believe they can. Even if they could, probably not. They don't have the part numbers in their system, they can't look them up, and I don't think the warehouses will ship to them because they arent a real Buell dealer. I am not completely positive though. I have always worked at dealers that were carriers of Buell

In my business if you arent a "dealer" you cant order parts. Otherwise anybody could call a company direct and order. Which in turn would piss off the dealers and they would most likely drop the line ( I have done that before ) Why would I inventory $50k of a company's products if they will sell direct to the customer anyways?
