Just flipped over to see what is in the news today. More IDIOTS with guns. THE GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM! IDIOTS ARE THE PROBLEM!
As a Veteran I GET TO HAVE A SAY! I am one of the "WE THE PEOPLE". The STATISTICS (you don't want me to believe or practice Christianity, "Science says __" fill in the blank.I'm not a rocket scientist, but I have spent the greater part of my life making a living off of science. I think I've done pretty good for an ol' one eyed JARHEAD. A TAX PAYING everyday guy. I've made enough money to successfully raise six kids, 35 dogs, a Porsche or two. ;-), getting ready to marry (again, so I am spending money all around my local economy and PAYING TAXES). Although... I am not making as much money as all of you, FROM THE F*CKING TAXES.

While your making money and raising your families enjoying life, you IDIOTS have went and stirred up a hornets nest in the Middle East. Now YOU want to take MY GUNS because of all the IDIOTS disrespect for someone else's life that has exists. Sorry, but in my opinion (AND THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF THE ****ING COUNTRY). The idea that you will make it a safer place for my family is absolutely hilarious. Here is the problem. The result of your Middle East gaffes, is that they are already here. The have been here for a while now. Problem is (NEWS FLASH), they don't like us. Not all Muslims are terrorists, BUT A WHOLE ****ING LOT OF TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIM. I'm sorry, you call them immigrants. Not all immigrants are criminals, BUT A WHOLE F#CKING LOT OF CRIMINALS ARE IMMIGRANTS.

Most of our gun laws have great intention but are not working WHEN YOU CAN F#CKING PLEA BARGAIN OUT OF THE CHARGES. LAWS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, The Justice system can not handle all the stupid sh*t that is spending a lot of F*CKING TAXES, AND NOT GETTING THE JOB DONE.

When the world around me becomes a safer place to live, we can sit down and talk about guns.

well said john. as a retired PA state police detective who worked virtually my entire career in undercover narcotics where shootings are a normal occurrence....i can say that all the gun laws in the world have no teeth when they're not enforced. and they rarely are.

with you John, politicians are jumping on the bandwagon over gun laws for votes, period! the criminals and mentally ill that have turned up as of recent are to blame for the problems we're facing now. the legal system has too many lope holes that let those individuals off the hook or down play the charge and they're back on the streets afterwards serving less time than initially given. LEO's need to build solid cases, do the job right, flip every stone and not cut corners to make a case and have it stick.
as for the politicians and the mess they have created by opening our country's doors and stirring up the pot in the sand box...let's put all of them in "battle rattle" and drop them off in the **** of it all and let them solve the problems they created!

I think that LEO are doing the best that they can with what they have to work with. The most solid case can still be plea bargained if the political/monetary issues are right. I know that our penal system is overloaded. I agree that we need to address the prison overpopulation issues need, BUT these cases need to be reviewed better.

The problem is not the guns. News Flash, CRIMINALS DON'T OBEY LAWS. If you outlaws guns, the only people that will have them is the criminals. If you destroyed every gun in America, the criminals would learn to use something else. Just my opinion, but
the problem is respect for life. Over the past 50-60 years we have let them take God out of schools (unless it is Allah), government, courts. The constitution has been re-interpreted to mean freedom FROM religion not freedom OF religion. We have developed into a nation that lets the streets, MTV, TV, video games, etc., etc. raise our children. I was raised by a single mother. She worked two jobs to make ends meet, and she still raised me. She also happens to be the person that taught me how to work on cars and how to shoot. Both of which I have become pretty successful from.

There are only two things that deter crime. Surety of capture and surety of punishment. Looking down the barrel of a senior citizens handgun or home owners shotgun, addresses both of those real quick.
