Now I want a blast. Talk me out of it. These are pics of Dan Whaley's bike on the Buell Owners Group Facebook page.

You're asking the wrong people LOL.

I can say I wasn't at all interested in a Blast until Bubbles got hers, They are SO FUN!!! Spunky little machines...

I've considered getting one for giggles, but afraid I may have to own it the rest of my life. I could leave it downtown with the keys in the ignition, but it would probably just get impounded as abandoned.

Blast's are literally, a blast to ride. There are a lot of customized ones out there. The only place they aren't fun is at 65+ mph. Around town, nothing but fun. The only thing stock on mine is the motor and the forks, but it's fuel injected and I have a big bore cylinder for it. Buy one and you will have a lot of fun.

it's fuel injected

I didnt know they did a fuel injected Blast? I guess I need to relinquish my "know it all" status back to Cooter

What caliper are you using on the forks? I'm surprised it lined up with the rotor. Nice looking bike nonetheless.

They didn't make them fuel injected. We built them ourselves. Loose1 did his first, I followed, then there's a couple more at least.

Here's mine:

They didn't, I built it with xb stuff. Except the tail/rear subframe. It's Yamaha yz with my own number plates.

I wonder if anyone has ever modded a Blast for off road fun? I'm not sure about suspension mods. Hmmm...maybe a tinker project for me down the road. I just missed out on a Blast today for $900.

Mine was originally using a Walbro fuel pump and adjustable FPR, everything else was XB system; this was when I was still using the Blast frame with a Firebolt subframe. Since I switched it to a Firebolt frame, I'm using the XB pump as well now. I'm considering changing that back to something unregulated so I can use an AFPR again for upcoming modifications. Need more fuel, injector is already maxed.

One of the other EFI'd Blasts I advised on is running the Walbro/AFPR as well, he's only a couple hours from me. It's an otherwise mostly-stock appearing Blast.
