There is a highway I drive regularly where the speed limit is 50mph and no one dares go above 60 b/c it is heavily policed. Going through with my car, I will always do about 60, and all the surrounding motorists will drive along and not pass. When I go through with the Buell, I will typically do about 70 b/c I feel hidden amongst all the traffic and am not worried about being lasered b/c I am a small target, but all of a sudden people are getting up behind me, passing me on the left AND right, and going in excess of 70. WTF is that? Anyone experience similar behavior?

That sounds odd - like maybe your speedometer is off in the car or bike? I don't think overall traffic patters would change that much if you drive that route all the time and don't see any abnormalities.
However I do find that people try to keep up to get a good look at the bike.

Get a gps speedometer app. on your phone and check your car and bike, they could be off ten from eachother even if they arent off much from their actual speed. I have a speedo app. called UlysseSpeedometer, mostly got it for the name, but it turned out to be a really good one!

I notice people on my A$$ more often when I'm riding. I don't hover in left lane, that's for passing only. I'll typically go slightly faster than traffic but do they think I need a DODGE imprinted on my shoulder blades? Freaks me out.
Years ago I was driving ten miles on a fairly busy wo lane to work and back. I noticed than when I was in my car everyone seemed to drive slow, and when I was on the bike everyone seemed to drive fast. I've got a gps speedo app on my phone and my truck at least is within a mile or two of the app. I want to try it on the bike but I need a way to hold the phone so I can see it.
