Facebook is the new forum....

Facebook isn't where the OG mentality lives. The troubleshooting for each other, helping out a fellow rider, wrench your own bike, use your skills for new mods is still here.
Facebook has drawn in all the "I didn't search for similar issues/ I'm taking it into HD service/whine, whine, they say they don't work on Buells/omg ASB closed so parts are no longer available (wtf?)/I'm trading it for a yamaha" mentality.

ugh. why is everything related to facebook and the pound sign followed by some stupid short phrase?

And that's coming from a young(ish) guy...

...then again, I'm on an internet forum...

I still check this site daily to see what's posted. I like that the information is organized. But I really only look at the new posts. I rarely post on any other Buell forum. I don't get how facebook can call the page the BuellXB.com. I don't think some of those people ever posted on this site. Does the same person that has this site have the FB page? And how in the hell do you find anything over there? It's a worse layout than this forum.

Same here. Check in every day of the week. Don't have much to contribute since it's on my lunch break at work-like to see what's new. Weekends I'm normally riding. Like to share a photo or two on the XBCommunity page, bought and sold some stuff. Most of the time just ignore the noob questions that could be found here. Like to laugh when Oh9dick messes with people. More for comic relief. Forums are always a wealth of knowledge- they all work the same, along with possessing the same types of members; the all knowing, the self righteous dick sockets, the post whore, the lazy noob- all that fun stuff. I think FB just made things easier for lazy people. My favorites are the grammatically challenged ones:

Oh it is. There are some doozies.

Well I really like this forum because I am OGD, old grouchy dog, nobody knows it because the cure is working on and riding my bikes. Not too many sites have the same goals as this one!

Great site. I've enjoyed it immensely over the past few years. I'm not an everyday poster, but check in a few times during the week. I always feel welcome and have received good advice and help.

Reboot on this Thread. Going in to work tomorrow to add a couple simple mods to the newest Bike.

Not sure how I feel being the OG of this thread but hey it's a good place to be so I'll wear it with pride.

I think this is the first time I've logged in since my last post which was probably in 2015, but I'm still around and still have my buell. I just got it fired up today after sitting for nearly a year. Doing some riding in Arkansas next week! (hope I remember which levers do what.....)

Doing great guys, glad to see you both still on here. What'd I miss over the past couple years!?!?!?

sean:
tons of oil/tire/sparkplug/fuel additive/best battery threads.
weirdos/loons/trouble-makers/lovable buffoons(always thought that would be a stunning name for a grunge band)and problem-children have come and gone. wacko named CHICAGO was by far my fav.
the mighty Gloom Shadow went off the grid and is missed.
Jesse moved from the east to the west. he's still very active as the site's GCM(gas cap monitor)!

Ah! I forgot about gloom lol. We (Myslef, Curtis, and Ryan) actually rode with him a few times when we all lived in Orlando.

So what kind of plugs are best for a bike that's been sitting for a year? And I would highly recommend whatever battery is in my bike as I've probably put 300 miles on my bike since 2015 and it still holds a charge haha.
