oil leak from somewhere

yesterday i noticed a few drops of oil on the ground on the left side just under the foot peg bracket.i traced it all the way back to i think either the rear head or the where the rear headder bolts on, the area where the cooling fan is there is a puddle!(the bike has been sitting all weekend). i wanted to hear what you guys had to say before i call the dealer. i hope the warenty will cover what ever is wrong! '08 xb9sx new in april.

hello, is anyone there? i was just wondering if anyone has had this happen before? the oil has dripped all over the cooling fins on rear cylinder. its kind of freakin' me out! i have done nothing like add oil or anything since my 1500mi. service.(2200mi. on now)

I would say get it in as soon as possible to your Service facility! No need to stress since its obviously under warranty.

dont ever call the harley truck, warranty will not cover that.

I have found if i put too much oil in i get a leak until it settles down below the full line.
I don't have a clue where it is coming from, but like i said once it goes below the full line it stops.

I have a 2008 XB12X with 8900 miles. I just dropped mine off at the dealer for the exact same thing you describe. My guess was my leak was coming from the rocker box gasket. I will let you know what my dealer comes up with.
