Hi all, I am new here and from Australia.

I am in the process of purchasing a firebolt. The one I am looking at runs great, has jardine exhaust, k&n etc. Theres a couple of issues I have though that I'd like to know about. It has a couple of oil leaks and I don't knwo if they are serious. One if the clutch cable where it enters the primary. I have read on the threads that this is a simple o-ring so think it would be ok as long as the thread hasn't been stripped. The other is oil underneath the primary cover but I don't knwo enough about it to know. The oil leak on the primary cover seems to be where the nut on the bottom is or close to it (is this the sump drain plug or something more important) i know i'm a bit dumb when it comes to motorcycles.

Cheers

You're right on about the clutch cable o-ring and like you said, just make sure it isn't stripped.

The leak around the nut at the bottom; is it #3 or #14 in the pic below? - (#3 being chain adj. nut & #14 being drain plug)
