OK so when I did my oil change I added exactly what was called for however I didn't know at the time to check warm so when checking cold its right in the middle of the dipstick and I'm assuming when at temp its much higher on the dipstick. Should I just drain a little out when its warm and get it in the middle and would the primary I put one full quart in that's fine this is just for engine oil thanks

Just the main oil not the primary is what I meant to say. Sorry I haven't been to the site in a few weeks and now its all different
